Affiliate Disclosure
The short version: Some of the links you see on The Clever Everyday are affiliate links. If you buy something through one of them, we may earn a small commission. It doesn’t cost you anything extra.
Those commissions help support the time that goes into researching, writing, updating, and running this site.
We think you should always know when a link may financially support our work, so here’s how it works. Some links on The Clever Everyday are provided through retailers, brands, or affiliate networks. If you click one of those links and make a qualifying purchase, we may receive a commission.
Not every link on the site is an affiliate link, and simply clicking a link doesn’t mean we get paid.
The affiliate programs and brands we work with may also change over time as we add new partners or stop working with others.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases..
How Affiliate Links Work
When an article includes affiliate links, we place a clear disclosure near the beginning of the page or before the first relevant recommendation.
That way, you know about the relationship before deciding whether to click or buy anything. Some affiliate links use cookies or similar tracking technology so a retailer or affiliate network can tell that a purchase came from The Clever Everyday. You can read more about cookies and how information may be handled on our site in our Privacy Policy.
Using an affiliate link does not increase the price you pay.
How We Choose What to Recommend
Earning a commission is never the reason a product gets included.
We write about products because we think they may genuinely help with the problem, task, or decision we’re discussing. Sometimes that means recommending a product with an affiliate link. Other times, the best option may have no affiliate relationship with us at all.
If we’ve personally used or tested something, we’ll say so when it matters.
If a recommendation comes from research rather than hands-on experience, we won’t present it as though we personally tested it.And if something doesn’t seem worth buying, we’d rather say that than push a product just because there’s a commission attached.
You can read more about how we research and create content in our Editorial Guidelines.
Sponsored and Gifted Content
Occasionally, we may work with a brand or receive a product at no cost.
If a post is sponsored, part of a paid partnership, or includes a gifted product, we’ll clearly tell you.
Being paid or receiving a free product does not guarantee a positive review or recommendation. Our opinions and editorial decisions remain our own.
